Crossroads Real to Abstract
September 6 – September 26, 2013

New Paintings by Ira Barkoff, Grace M. DeVito, Emilia Dubicki, David Dunlop, Michael Naples, and Polly Seip

“These remarkable six established and emerging contemporary artists explore adventurous new terrain in still lifes and landscapes,” says Susan Powell, owner Susan Powell Fine Art.

Light and nature figure prominently in the oils of nationally-known artists Ira Barkoff and David Dunlop who create imaginative landscapes with an emphasis on gestural brushwork, reflection and abstraction.

Emerging artist Michael Naples’ still lifes are painterly with a dramatic viewpoint that focuses on light, atmosphere and translucency. Polly Seip has created a unique, contemporary series that marries marine art with plein air painting. Grace DeVito’s beautiful, classic still lifes breathe with atmospheric elegance.

Emilia Dubicki’s abstract paintings are about the internal landscape one journeys through when painting, visiting real and imagined places, creating new destination Inspired by emotions, memories and nature.
