Carol Jenkins has lived in the Rocky Mountains and been a professional painter of oils for many years. She currently shows in galleries in Colorado, Arizona and Connecticut. Specializing in oils, her formal training took place at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and her style has been refined through studies with acclaimed artists throughout the west. Her work has been included in multiple national juried and invitational shows and she has been honored to receive many awards for her plein air paintings.
“I am continuously excited by the abstract design quality of a scene, particularly in nature, and being able to translate that vision to my canvas. So many great painters of the past and present inspire and excite me. I love the idea that my paintings could bring the same type of joy to others.”
Carol has been a featured artist in the October 2013 Edition of Southwest Art Magazine.
