Eileen Eder

Eileen Eder, a long-time resident of Connecticut, has been an avid painter for 20 years. Her style is ‘contemporary realist,’ and she is known for her oil paintings of still life and landscapes.

 Eileen has an MFA from The New York Academy of Art and has studied at the NY Studio School, Rhode Island School of Design, and JSS in Civita, Italy. She continues to study with master artists, always striving to improve her craft and creativity. Eileen is a member of Salmagundi Club, Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, Hudson Valley Art Association, and an Elected Artist of Lyme Art Association.

 A frequent award winner, Eileen exhibits in juried shows locally and nationally. Some recent prizes include both Buck’s County and Wayne Annual Plein Air Festivals in 2018, First Prize; Guilford Art League 2017Salmagundi Club, Still Life 2017, Second Place, Oil Painters of America, Summer Online Show 2016 and Best in ShowCT Academy of Fine Arts 2016. Eileen has been featured in multiple publications including The Artists Magazineand Plein Air Magazine.

 Eileen is currently teaching at the Lyme Art Association in Old Lyme, CT.
